  1. NYSGA eClub: Join an eClub today if you don't already belong to a specific golf course, and get your Handicap Index directly through your region's online "eclub". Post scores, track stats, and play games with friends with the GPS-enabled GHIN app, along with other NYSGA member benefits.
  2. Join A Member Club: Either register directly through your home golf course's pro shop, or via the "Find A Club" button below. You get both the feel-good energy of belonging to a golf community plus club-specific access, benefits and pricing. There are more than 250+ NYSGA Member Clubs to choose from. WHAT EXACTLY IS A HANDICAP INDEX?
When you join the NYSGA, you automatically have access to a Handicap Index®. This handy tool provides all the stats and data needed to track and improve your game–while also allowing you to play competitively against friends of all skill levels.

WHY DOES EVERY GOLFER NEED ONE?
A Handicap Index provides every golfer – regardless of age, gender or skill level – with a universal measure of playing ability under the World Handicap System™. This universal playing companion will instanly improve your golf experience, and help you to enjoy golf more each time you tee it up!



How DO YOU ESTABLISH A HandicaP?

STEP 1: Join the NYSGA (directly through an e-Club below) and get a GHIN number (you use this number to post scores from your golf rounds).

STEP 2: Post three 18-hole scores (or six 9-hole scores) at GHIN.com (or use the GHIN Mobile App) using your assigned GHIN number.

STEP 3: Your Handicap Index™ will be established within 24 hours of posting your rounds!
